Print | PDFLaurier's Faculty of Music is thrilled to welcome back acclaimed sound designer, field recordist and sound artist Penelope Walcott for an exciting series of workshops, lectures and classes this January.
She is an experienced audio post-production editor with over 30 films completed, including short independent drama, documentary, and animation films. With a background in music composition and editing, as well as a strong interest in the technology of sound production, she brings a particular focus to incorporating sound and music in multi-media projects.
Ms. Walcott is looking forward to meeting with students and talking about the use of DAWs (digital audio workstations) in the modern studio; field recording, sound design, music, as well as curious and interesting electronic techniques that could be important parts of a composers' toolkit.
Whether you're an aspiring composer or simply curious about the intersection of music and technology, Penelope Walcott's visit promises to inspire and educate.
All are welcome to attend.
