Checklist

1. Accept Your Offer

  • In order to reserve your place in this program, you must accept your offer of admission through OUAC by Monday, March 2, 2026.
  • To accept your offer of admission online:

    1. Visit ouac.on.ca/teas.
    2. Log into your application using your OUAC password/PIN and click on “choices/offers.”
    3. Select and accept Laurier’s offer of admission.
    4. Ensure you receive and record your confirmation number.
  • Within a few business days of accepting your offer, you’ll receive confirmation emails from both OUAC and Laurier (make sure to check your spam or junk folders if you don’t see these appear in your inbox). Your applicant portal will also update to reflect that your offer has been accepted.

2. Pay Your Deposit

  • In order to hold your place in this program, you are required to submit a non-refundable $500 deposit by June 1, 2026.
  • You can submit your deposit through online banking. Log on to your financial institution's online banking site and add Wilfrid Laurier University as a payee. Your student number is your account number. We encourage you to submit your deposit at least three days in advance of the due date to ensure we receive it by June 1, 2026.

4. Complete Your Student Registration

  • You will be pre-registered in all required courses. Any other registration, such as program electiveswill be completed online at loris.wlu.ca. Additional details will follow in the registration package, sent in advance of registration opening in late June.

5. Submit Your Final Documents

  • Your final official documents, including your final transcript, should be mailed to Laurier’s Recruitment and Admissions Office directly from the issuing institution, or you can arrange to have the issuing institution email us a digital copy to documentsubmission@wlu.ca. The deadline to submit your final transcript is July 1, 2026.

6. Get Ready for September

  • The Faculty of Education will contact you to arrange and prepare for your practicum.
  • Register with the Accessible Learning Office (if applicable). It is recommended that you register once you have confirmed your offer of admission.
  • Register for parking. Residence students can indicate they require parking when they apply for residence. Non-residence students can apply for parking when they have registered for courses. Parking passes will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Ensure that your device meets the minimum technological requirements (see below).

Technology Requirements

PC or MacBook:

  • A laptop with a current and up-to-date operating system, antivirus and a minimum of 8GB of RAM.
  • Installed and up-to-date Microsoft Office. (Laurier students have free access to Office 365)

As a Teacher Candidate, you will be using your device extensively and should ensure that it can be trusted to complete your academic and professional responsibilities.
